Aesthetic Pest


A pest which, through its presence or actions, is deemed objectionable and in need of elimination even though it causes no economic loss. The presence of some insects in homes or on ornamental plants are examples of aesthetic pests, though in the latter case if they inhibit the ability to market plants then the same insect can be come an economic pest.
